Nicola originally trained as a ballet dancer at the Central School of Ballet in London. Her interest in massage developed through the self treatment of injuries and muscular aches during training at ballet school.
Nicola has 15 years experience as a massage therapist. Her background is in Sports Massage, but in 2007, spurred by a number of pregnant friends keen for massage treatment, Nicola trained with Suzanne Yates at ‘Wellmother’ in Bristol to gain her prestigious Post Graduate qualification. This gave her the confidence to provide massage during pregnancy and postnatally – and she has ‘never looked back’!
Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage is Nicola’s main focus and this has been developed even further with her most recent qualification graduating as a Burrell Education soft tissue therapist in Myofascial C-Section and Hysterectomy Scar Massage.
Nicola opened Waterside Therapy Rooms in 2017 with a view to providing a ‘women’s health hub’ for providing holistic treatments for pregnant and postnatal women. Having grown up by the sea, Nicola was drawn to the water front location of the premises.
Nicola is also a Tropic Skincare Ambassador and thoroughly enjoys using these natural, vegan products for holistic facial treatments.
Nicola provides, pregnancy massage, postnatal massage, massage for labour induction, deep tissue massage, C-section scar massage and holistic facials at Waterside Therapy Rooms.
